Marriage has become quite the disposable commodity these days. And for some reason, we have bought the lie that if our marriage isn’t easy then there must be something wrong, and we probably shouldn’t be with that person. It’s as if our society has lost the value of hard work – that anything worth having is worth working for. So, as soon as marriage becomes work, we start looking for a way out. But that’s not at all how the Bible views marriage.
Genesis 224 says, “Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (ESV). It’s that phrase “hold fast” that does it for me. The King James Version translates it “cleave.” But that brings to mind chopping things into small bits with a large sharp object, and while that may describe your thoughts toward your spouse at times, let’s just stick with “hold fast” for now. The phrase means to cling to and never let go—as if for your very survival.
What would happen in our marriages if, instead of treating our relationships so casually, we learned to hold fast to one another? What if, instead of treating marriage as a disposable commodity, we chose to fight for our marriages? Marriage is worth fighting for was a great read. It took me about 30 min all together to read and gave me guidance and clarity about marriage and the importance of fighting for it. I can't want for prevailing marriage to come out so I can read it.Product details

Well worth reading!!!
With society telling us "If it's hard, get out". I was encouraged to read a practical and thoughtful look at a real relationship, that has ups and downs. One that centers on the scriptures of God as well as how to apply them to my own marriage.
What a great reminder that we must be intentional in our marriage. It's easy to drown in the daily routine of our jobs, caring for our children and the chores at home, etc. This swift-read book is a wonderful encouragement and admonishment to remember to put effort into loving our mates the way the Father loves the church.
